Se trata de un cuarteto integrado por Isaac Slade (voz y piano), Joe King (guitarra y coros), Dave Welsh (guitarra) y Ben Wysocki (batería) originarios de Denver Colorado, estos estadounidenses se han dado a conocer en España con dos años de retardo si se considera la salida al mercado americano de su album debut "How to safe a life" que no sólo da nombre al CD ya que es el single que aparece en las promociones de la Cadena Cuatro para la Serie "Anatomía de Grey" gracias a esta melodía el grupo THE FRAY irrumpe con mucha fuerza en el panorama musical español, su debut se produjo en abril de 2oo7 y las ventas de su trabajo discográfico superan el millar. Las últimas semanas el tema ha escalado en las listas de popularidad nacional alcanzando el número 1 de los 40 Principales el 30 de Junio de 2007.
